We are not a "musical" family by any means (I am totally and completely tone-deaf, as the poor little children in my nursery class will attest.. and Jasen has never even SEEN 'The Sound Of Music.' WHO hasn't seen The Sound of Music? I didn't know one could live 36 years in America.. and NOT.) But I gotta give our Jesse some props (I use words like "props" to sound younger.. is it working??) In the last few months-- thanks to a generous hand-me-down gift of a sweet electric guitar (see how I did that again.. "sweet.") and a few lessons.. the boy has totally got it goin' on.. as he displayed here at our own private concert the other night!
(Bo was lucky enough to get an autograph. He'll probably sell it for cash on Ebay.)
In other news..
Sophie the Crazy Princess (she prefers her tiara, upside down..) while eating fried rice, declared, "Princesses like Chinese food."
So. Now ya know.
CHRISTMAS TIME AGAIN

I am so glad that Jesse is loving guitar!! Is he taking from my friend Kenny? Maybe we could talk him in to coming in one week this month and do a little christmas number for the nursery!! Sophie cracks me up!! She is all girl!!
You are great during singing time. You just put a different tune to the good old head, shoulders, knees, and toes.
That is great our kids don't always have to walk in our footsteps and they can get talent through other means! Katlyn sure did!
Sophie, I ALSO like Chinese food.
Love,
Princess Carrie
Perhaps you should start grooming him to try out for back up band for Tim McGraw one day. Your dream may still come true! Seriously, I am so glad he's picked it up and is loving it. My big kids, as you know, have gotten really into the acoustic lately and Andrew contributes by playing bongos. Such talent!
Jesse is such a little stud! I'm sure my girls will be groupies if he wants or start up a fan club. They could make some I heart Jesse shirts and wear them around. I am impressed with how good he has already gotten.
I love Chinese food...does that make me a princess too? I knew it! Pass the eggrolls please.
And come on, we always knew that all of your children would be adorable AND talented...how could they not?
I have a TOTAL wanna-be rock star living in my house. Matter of fact...I have a bright, shiny red electric guitar stashed away waiting for its big debut on Christmas Day. The only problem is the fact that my rock star is 6 years old so there may be some serious headaches before we get anything "decent" out of him.
And I was so ignorant...who knew princesses prefer chinese rice??
