This morning, which came MUCH too soon (poor Sam-a-lamb-a-ding-dong--he'll love that I shared that nick name with the blogging world-- had the barfs all the live long night.. and hearing, and assisting in, his every half hour erping, did NOT a restful night make..)Sophie came trotting in my room bright and early, and bounced up on top of me in all her halariously matted hair and stinky breathed glory. In efforts to rouse me..she started giving me wet little stinky kisses all over my sleeping face.
As I opened my eyes and smiled at her little morning face three inches from my own.. she clasped my cheeks in her hands, and in perfect imitation of me, exclaimed,
"I love this little face."
CHRISTMAS TIME AGAIN

Hey, sorry to hear about Sam--poor guy! Launa & I were wondering about you guys at the pine wood derby tonight, we missed you there. Bummer night to miss. I hope he's feeling better now. (Ivey had an upset stomach all afternoon--hope that's no indicator of what we're in for tonight!)
What a sweet (although ill-timed) way to be woken for the day though with Sophie.
Ok...I am either deliriously tired, or that was one of the funniest things I have read in a long time!! Not so much Sam,(poor kid) but picturing your face as cute little Soph is going in for the kill....priceless!! Oh how I hope you have a barf free night!! Just line your floors with towels! Then if they miss, and they will...all you have to do is pick it up..throw it in the washer...and keep adding them until morning! Ya..do it all the time, tons of laundry=more sleepy!
I wish we knew your kids! They all sound so adorable!!oh wait... not the barf part... that... not so adorable.
That is the sweetest thing!
Sorry to hear Sam is so sick. That makes for a long night!
Too funny, about Sophie that is!!
Poor Sam-a-lamb-a-ding-dong. We have a million nicknames for our Sam, too. Something about that name. I think that is probably the best way to wake up in the world, preferably after a good night's sleep, but hey, it helps you get up.
She is so sweet. You do have a very cute face, I would have to agree with Sophie~
Sorry about Sam - that's just no fun...for anyone involved! But I again, just have to say, that little girl of yours is just adorable! And I just love stinky little kid morning breath - is there something wrong with me?
Oh poor Sam. And poor you. The good thing about having teenagers, oh wait, I only have one teenager and a 20 year old now, oops - but anyway, they barf on their own. Its a beautiful thing. Hope little girl and the other guys avoid the bug.
There is simply nothing sweeter. ever.
I hate flu season...I think we might be coming into it too. I think that little girl of yours is so darn cute. That is such a funny story.
Thank her for me for giving me that laugh.
Sorry to hear Sam was sick, I hateit when my kids get sick!! That Sophie is so darn cute!
I sure hate barf but I do adore little girls and their sweet, sweet ways! May your week be filled with more stinky morning breath after a good night's rest and less barf!
That's why God gave you a little girl. After a night of cleaning up partially digested food and stomach acid, the only thing that would clarify why you do what you do is a moment like Sophie holding your cheeks and telling you she loves your little face. Stinky breath and all.
Ten years from now, you'll only remember the facial hug you got from Sophie--if you're lucky.
